The event is Labor Day weekend from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Railfest celebrates railroading\u2019s past, present, and future with train rides, special demonstrations, programs, visiting equipment, tours, and more.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s event honors Steamtown&#8217;s 40th anniversary of becoming a national park site, the 200th anniversary of the start of railroading in the U.S., and America&#8217;s 250th. Railfest is free, with charges for some rides.
