Alex Roch\u00e9, director of advocacy for the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance, has been appointed to the Reading Housing Authority Board of Commissioners.<\/p>\n
His term begins in September and runs through 2031, the chamber announced.<\/p>\n
Roch\u00e9 leads the chamber\u2019s legislative agenda and advocacy initiatives and works to keep members and community stakeholders informed about regulatory changes and other community issues.<\/p>\n
He also has a previous connection to the housing authority, which he said played an important role early in his career.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe housing authority played an important role in the beginning of my career, giving me an early appreciation for the importance of quality, affordable housing and its impact on individuals, families and our entire community,\u201d Roch\u00e9 said.<\/p>\n
Roch\u00e9 said he looks forward to working with the authority board members, staff, residents and community partners.<\/p>\n
Aaron Gantz, the chamber\u2019s vice president of economic development and strategy, said Roch\u00e9 will bring another perspective to discussions about housing in Reading.<\/p>\n
