ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Next Friday marks 25 years since the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ahead of the anniversary, forensic experts gathered in Allentown Wednesday to talk about the scope of the response that day and the complex investigation that followed.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A forensic symposium was held at Cedar Crest College.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Presenters gave first-hand accounts of the challenges they faced at the World Trade Center and how their work still isn’t finished.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The head of the school’s forensic science program explained why it’s important for his students to hear those stories.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“It’s important for them to see the work that was done because one day, not that I’m hoping this for them, but they may be brought into a situation where they are going to be facing what you may be perceiving as the impossible,” said Larry Quarino.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Nearly 3,000 people were killed in the Sept. 11th attacks.
