HistoricBethlehem.org<\/a>.<\/p>\nGrowing out of the Apple Days event that previously took place at Burnside, the new Vintage & Harvest Market will feature more than 75 vintage vendors from throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region highlighting collectibles, antiques, heirlooms and unique finds.<\/p>\n
Attendees can stroll the aisles exploring racks of vintage clothing, crates of vinyl records, booths featuring mid-century furniture and much more.<\/p>\n
A few examples of the vendors already confirmed to attend are Jen Thunderhorse Jewelry of Philadelphia, which offers Southwest silver, costume pieces and deadstock biker accessories; Created by Corinne, which turns naturally preserved plants and blooms into wearable art; and Neverending Glassworks, which is known for its stained-glass pieces.<\/p>\n
“With its focus on vintage finds and collectibles, paired with some of the most popular elements of Apple Days, the Vintage & Harvest Market feels like the natural next chapter for Burnside,” said Beth Beatty, event manager for Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites.<\/p>\n
“Whether you’re digging through crates of vinyl, trying on vintage leather, or just enjoying a fall afternoon with good food and music, there’s something for every kind of treasure hunter.”<\/p>\n
Two historic organizations partner on vintage bonanza<\/p>\n
HBMS is partnering with the Bethlehem Vintage Market to put on the Vintage & Harvest Market.<\/p>\n

In addition to browsing thousands of collectibles, clothing items and treasures from the past, bargain hunters and their families will enjoy a wide variety of historical activities and living history demonstrations.<\/p>\n
These include 18th-century toys and games, open-hearth cooking demonstrations, quill pen writing, blacksmithing, and tours of the historic Burnside farmhouse, barns, summer kitchen and award-winning gardens.<\/p>\n
Additionally, children will enjoy the History Maker\u2019s Pass that allows them to create and take home a hand-dipped beeswax candle, candle holder and cornhusk doll. They can also decorate their own birdhouse and try the popular Artifact Challenge, where they match items from the past with their correct names.<\/p>\n
Enjoy the flavors of fall<\/p>\n
Building off of Apple Days\u2019 popular apple desserts, the Vintage & Harvest Market offers more than one dozen autumn-inspired desserts \u2014 the most ever \u2014 including apple and pumpkin pie, cider doughnuts, cranberry orange scones, pumpkin spice ice cream and molasses sugar cookies.<\/p>\n
Desserts can be purchased from the dessert barn to enjoy at the event or take home; individuals who can\u2019t attend the Vintage & Harvest Market but want to support HBMS can also order their favorites in advance and pick up at the Market to Go at Historic Burnside on Friday, Sept. 18, from 4 to 7 p.m.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a great option for people who can\u2019t make it out to the event Saturday or who want to get a sneak peek of all the goodies in advance,\u201d Betty said.<\/p>\n
The event also will feature several on-site food trucks, serving up everything from Mexican cuisine to mango sticky rice.<\/p>\n
Taste Budz, the eatery behind the blueberry grilled cheese everyone lines up for at HBMS\u2019s Blueberry Festival, will be at the event with apple and pumpkin delights.<\/p>\n
The fall theme extends to the Apple Barrel Tavern, where guests ages 21 and older can purchase their favorite beverages, including local craft brews and ciders, as well as cocktails from Christmas City Spirits.<\/p>\n
