The grant directly supports the work of the Lemieux Institute for Pediatric Cancer Research at the hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">As part of the initiative, young cancer patients placed their handprints on a vehicle at UPMC Children\u2019s, with each handprint representing a child\u2019s experience with cancer treatment. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Among the young patients participating in the event was Liam Haney, a cancer patient who completed four rounds of chemotherapy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">\u201cIt was very rough and hard, but I fought through it.
