In response, local restaurant Underdog BBQ is stepping up to offer support to neighbors in need.<\/p>\n<p>While the restaurant\u2019s power remained intact, the team at Underdog BBQ is welcoming anyone affected by the outages to stop by throughout the day to cool off, recharge, and take advantage of available amenities.<\/p>\n<p>Residents are invited to use the restaurant as a temporary refuge, with access to phone charging stations, free Wi-Fi, and complimentary ice water or fountain drinks, all with no purchase necessary.<\/p>\n<p>For those looking for an affordable hot meal, Underdog BBQ is also offering $5 smoked chicken sandwiches for the day.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant is extending its appreciation to the utility crews and first responders working hard to restore services across the community. Utility workers and emergency personnel can stop in to receive a free fountain drink or purchase a $5 smoked chicken sandwich.<\/p>\n<p>Guests are encouraged to bring their own charging cords if possible.
