According to police, the video shows Phillip Griffin entering the store after it looked like a man was \u201cstalking him.\u201d When Griffin left the store, a man started to approach Griffin as he \u201cseemingly sensed that something was wrong and immediately turned around.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Moments later, Griffin was shot. The video subsequently captured two men fleeing the scene on foot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">An Allegheny County probation officer identified Williams as one of the two men visible in the surveillance video.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Investigators also acted on several witness tips, including a report that Griffin was at a bar before the shooting. According to a caller, Griffin reportedly tripped a woman who claimed she could \u201ccall anyone down to the bar to handle the situation.\u201d Police later identified the woman and determined that Williams was the person she contacted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Police recovered a firearm in Williams\u2019s possession that he was legally prohibited from owning, according to the criminal complaint.
