BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The school year is starting off with a bit more color at a Bethlehem elementary school.<\/p>\n
Lincoln Elementary hosted an open house and back-to-school picnic on Thursday. They also unveiled a brand new mural.<\/p>\n
The design came from a fourth-grade student, Toby, who was selected during an art contest with other students.<\/p>\n
Dripped On Productions took his idea and brought it to life with the new mural.<\/p>\n
“It’s going to brighten up Lincoln, it’s going to bring joy to the Lincoln family, and it’s certainly…it’s a way to enhance our school community,” said Daniel Garcia, principal.<\/p>\n
Lincoln is also celebrating its new Safe Routes to School initiative by unveiling a new bike rack.<\/p>\n
