(WBNG) &#8212; A pickup truck crashed into the entrance of the Pennsylvania State Police Honesdale Station on Thursday evening, causing significant structural damage and disrupting telephone services.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The collision, which occurred around 6:53 p.m. on Sept. 3, damaged the communications room and caused minor injuries to a police communications officer working inside, according to Pennsylvania State Police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The driver fled the scene on foot but was caught shortly after by state police and Honesdale Borough officers along Ski Run Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Wade Louis Rickard, 36, of Honesdale, was taken into custody and treated at Wayne Memorial Hospital before being transported to the Wayne County Prison.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Rickard faces multiple charges in connection with the incident, including aggravated assault, aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WBNG.
