This 27-year-old Pennsylvania man is living a petrol-head\u2019s dream with his supercar line-up, and his success traces back to one noisy BMW<\/a>. <\/p>\n Austin Huffman, from Boyertown, Pennsylvania, has a diverse car collection ranging from Teslas to Porsches and Bugattis.<\/p>\n But a decade ago, it was just him and one noisy BMW that his mom hated.<\/p>\n However, if it wasn\u2019t for that ear-splitting 335i, he might not have the enviable collection he has today. <\/p>\n Austin Huffman has made a big success of himself at a young age \u2013 and he has the cars to prove it<\/p>\n For many people, their 20s is a period in which they try new things and figure out their life.<\/p>\n But for Austin Huffman, it\u2019s been a time of building his business.<\/p>\n Valvetronic Designs began life when Huffman was a college student, before growing into the business it is today. <\/p>\n The company\u2019s success has helped the 27-year-old amass a supercar line-up that would make any car lover green with envy.<\/p>\n He owns a Tesla Model S Plaid, a 2010 Porsche Cayenne GTS, a 1995 Mazda Miata, a Porsche Boxster, and a Ford Explorer, among others.<\/p>\n One of his cars \u2013 the Bugatti Veyron \u2013 was featured on the Magnacars YouTube channel.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cSo here\u2019s the thing that I find about all these cars as an aggregate, whether it\u2019s the Carrera GT, the Veyron, any of this stuff,\u201d Huffman told Supercar Blondie.<\/p>\n \u201cLife becomes a lot more fruitful depending on who you know.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI have a shop in Boston that I\u2019ve worked with for 10 years, EuroTech Motorsports. <\/p>\n \u201cThe\u00a0ultimate reason that I am here today, and I have the cool stuff that I have, is because Barley, who owns that shop, is\u00a0an absolute mastermind. He is fearless.<\/p>\n \u201cHe is willing to take on any project and solve any issue, and\u00a0he\u2019s very, very reasonable when it comes to me.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I got the Veyron, it needed $200,000 worth of work. The gearbox was leaking, the spark plugs needed all the service, oil changed, all of it.<\/p>\n \u201cTwo weeks [after I dropped it off with them] it was all done. And the cost I paid to fix it was 2 percent of what Bugatti was going to charge me.\u201d<\/p>\n A noisy BMW was the car that started it all<\/p>\n His car collection may be the stuff that automotive dreams are made of, but it didn\u2019t happen overnight.<\/p>\n It all started with an ingenious business idea \u2013 and one noisy BMW.<\/p>\n But before he even got the cash to buy his BMW, he was working hard to save up the cash.<\/p>\n \u201cI began my entrepreneurial journey when I was 14 to 15,\u201d he recalled.<\/p>\n \u201cMy family has summer house in Rhode Island, and we\u2019d let people park on our property so they could be close to the beach.<\/p>\n \u201cI [made money] by cleaning Teslas and vacuuming up maggots out of the back people\u2019s Toyota Land Cruisers.<\/p>\n \u201cAt the time, I was making good money doing that \u2013 better than I was earning flipping burgers and making sandwiches at this convenience store I worked at.<\/p>\n \u201cSo I embarked on this entrepreneurial journey cleaning cars and getting paid in cash. I ended up having $30,000 by the time I was 17.\u201d<\/p>\n That\u2019s when he decided to buy a BMW 335i.<\/p>\n There was just one problem \u2013 his mom didn\u2019t like how loud it was.<\/p>\n \u201cI ended up making the car excruciatingly loud. My mom hated the car,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd the car had the BMW performance exhaust that I had purchased from a guy and that removes the factory exhaust valve.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cSo my mom said to me one day, she said, Austin, it\u2019s so loud, you either got to get rid of the car\u00a0or you got to make it quieter. <\/p>\n \u201cAnd I was like, \u2018Well, those are two not ideal options. Can you give my third option?\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cTurns out my third option would materialize when she said \u2018Why does it have to be loud all the time? Why can\u2019t you just make it quiet sometimes?’\u201d<\/p>\n This sparked an idea in him to create a valve exhaust system.<\/p>\n \u201cSo I found a local kind of fabrication shop to make me this idea that I had. We kept the valve, took the factory muffler and cut it in half, welded the pipes in, and kept the original side stock,\u201d he recalled.<\/p>\n \u201cThen I had the valve on one side with a controller that I made and then we had a stock side so that you had this bypass system.<\/p>\n \u201cIt actually sounded better than my performance exhaust because it was even, it was a little bit louder.\u00a0\u00a0But when the valves were closed, it was like the car was stock.\u201d<\/p>\n Sharing it online, he soon realized there was an audience for the project and it kept getting bigger and bigger.<\/p>\n![\"Pennsylvania](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Austin-Huffman-7.webp\")
