\"Nivin Actor Nivin Pauly<\/a> is basking in the success of his latest release, \u2018Bethlehem Kudumba Unit\u2019, also known as \u2018BKU\u2019 starring Mamitha Buaji. The film was released during the Onam festival and has already crossed Rs 230 crore mark worldwide. Recently the actor talked about the film and what made it such a feat.In a conversation with Variety India, Nivin<\/a> Pauly while talking about the success of the film called \u2018BKU\u2019 his biggest hit so far and gave credit to the entire team, especially director Girish AD<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nivin Pauly credits family audiences<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cThis is my biggest hit so far. All credit goes to the team, especially director Girish AD. It was a wonderful script. The age-gap romance, the packaging, the humor\u2026 everything landed.\u201dNivin also spoke about the decision to release the film during Onam and said family audiences played an important role in its success. He shared that producers Fahadh Faasil, Syam Pushkaran and Dileesh Pothan of Bhavana Studios had locked the Onam release much earlier. Nivin further added that the film connected strongly with family audiences.\u201cFamily audiences are the backbone of Indian cinema, in any language. If families like a film, ticket sales soar. Theatres are happy too \u2014 concession sales boom,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Speaking of his next work, Nivin Pauly is now preparing for the Tamil film \u2018Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai\u2019, directed by Ram. The film is scheduled to release in October.In Malayalam, Nivin is working on a film tentatively titled \u2018NP51\u2019. The project is produced by director Martin Prakkat along with Nivin\u2019s banner Pauly Pictures and is directed by Nashid Famy, who previously made \u2018Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey\u2019.The film is said to be another family entertainer with humor and romance. Rukmini Vasanth will play the female lead.
