ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Great Allentown Fair is in full swing this labor day weekend, and music fans are flocking to the grandstand for a big night of live entertainment.<\/p>\n
It is a massive night of Pennsylvania talent here at the Great Allentown Fair, and thousands of country music fans have poured into the fairgrounds, all here to enjoy Friday night’s grandstand show.<\/p>\n
“I come here every year. Not just for Warren Zeiders,” says fairgoer Freddy Arce. “I love Warren Zeiders. But I came back for Vince’s Cheesesteaks.”<\/p>\n
From classic fair food staples to enthusiastic fans, the energy was electric heading into Friday night’s concert.<\/p>\n
“It doesn’t matter where you are. Every seat is a good seat, and you’re gonna love it,” Arce says.<\/p>\n
Setting the tone for Hershey native Warren Zieders was Pottstown native Kendal Conrad; a singer who once competed in the fair’s karaoke contest as a teenager.<\/p>\n
“Being a part of the tradition now is crazy to me. Like, I am now a part of the great Allentown fair,” Kendal Conrad says. “I’m a part of the story. And so that is huge. Especially being from this area. It’s really cool and exciting.”<\/p>\n
Conrad treated the crowd to original music and fan favorite covers… feeding off an energy she says only a hometown Pa crowd can bring.<\/p>\n
“When you play to your home crowd, you feed off of each other,” Conrad says. “Like, these people have grown up with me and have come to so many of my shows and are supportive and there is nothing else like it.”<\/p>\n
“To step out and see those people and then a lot of them are singing along to my songs and it’s… You can’t put it into words; how much it means,” Conrad says.<\/p>\n
