Philadelphia freedom is shining on.<\/p>\n

Team Springsteen released a trailer on Friday, Sept. 4 for the No Kings-themed “Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour (Philadelphia Freedom Cut),” which appears to be a concert film shot May 30 at the Xfinity Mobile Center in Philadelphia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The film will be available for streaming on Wednesday, Sept. 9.<\/p>\n

“It is great to be in Philadelphia. We are here to call upon the righteous power of rock ‘n’ roll,” says Bruce Springsteen in the show’s opening remarks, which are interspersed with concert footage in the trailer. “We ask all of you to join with us in choosing hope over fear, democracy over authoritarianism, the rule of law over lawlessness, ethics over unbridled corruption, resistance over complacency, truth over lies, unity over division, and peace over war.”<\/p>\n

The trailer concludes with a snippet of “Streets of Minneapolis” and the images of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, Minneapolis city residents who were shot dead by federal agents during an ICE crackdown on illegal immigration there in January.<\/p>\n

The E Street Band’s Philadelphia concert was the last show of the tour. The show was originally scheduled for May 8 but was postponed to accommodate a Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks NBA playoff game.<\/p>\n

The Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour, which included pointed criticism of the Trump administration, began March 31 at the Target Center in Minneapolis. It drew the ire of Trump.<\/p>\n

“At a recent concert, Bruce, all he did was talk politics,” said Trump, referring to the tour, at the rescheduled White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner<\/a> on July 24 in Washington, D.C.. “He ought to run for office. That’d be interesting. But all he talked about, he made four political speeches in his three-hour show. The tour has been renamed Bored in the USA.”<\/p>\n

Upcoming, Springsteen will perform with Tom Morello and the Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, Joan Baez, Brittany Howard, Dropkick Murphys, Jack Black, Cypress Hill, Killer Mike, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels and more in the Power to the People Festival on two stages Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.<\/p>\n

The Boss is also performing at the annual Stand Up for Heroes veterans benefit, Nov. 9 at David Geffen Hall in Lincoln Center, New York City.<\/p>\n
