ALLENTOWN, Pa. \u2013 Different neighborhoods. Different paths. But one shared hometown.<\/p>\n
Saturday night, people in Allentown came together to celebrate the memories that keep bringing them back.<\/p>\n
The message that brought them together: \u201cWe are one.\u201d<\/p>\n
People as far away as Georgia made their way to the Mountainview Youth Center on South Fifth Street to reunite with friends they haven’t seen in years.<\/p>\n
“I love the people of Allentown. I grew up here,\u201d said Ed Harris, a found of the reunion. \u201cI live in Georgia, but Allentown is still in my heart.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said \u201clove\u201d is why people keep coming back.<\/p>\n
Janice Primer, who has lived in Allentown for 50 years, says the people are what kept her home.<\/p>\n
She says events like the reunion bring her back to her childhood.<\/p>\n
“There have been quite a few that I haven’t seen in years, and a lot of them you remember them by face but not the name,\u201d Primer said. \u201cAnd when you see that person, and you realize who they are, all these memories from your childhood just all rush back.\u201d<\/p>\n
