According to the Bensalem Police Department<\/a>, officers were called to the Starbucks on the 3600 block of Horizon Boulevard around 3:19 a.m. for reports of a burglary in progress. <\/p>\nWhen the officers got the store, they reported finding that the drive-through window had been smashed and cash registers were damaged. <\/p>\n
Three boys were found carrying Starbucks merchandise that had been stolen nearby in the parking lot for the Walmart, police said. <\/p>\n
Then, with help from the Upper Southampton Police Department, officers were able to find five more boys who were seen running away from the shopping center, officials explained. <\/p>\n
Through the investigation, officials said that all eight of the kids were part of the robbery at the Starbucks.<\/p>\n
They are also included of breaking into cars in one of the neighborhoods near the shopping center, police reported. <\/p>\n
Officers also said that the children are believed to be connected to thefts that happened in and near the Neshaminy Square Shopping Center\u00a0as well as surrounding homes. <\/p>\n
All eight of the children are set to be charged with burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, prowling at night and other related offenses. <\/p>\n
The investigation into the activities of the children is ongoing. <\/p>\n
The Bensalem Police Department is asking business owners to share any surveillance video that could help them with their investigation. <\/p>\n
