The Pines Dinner Theatre embraces the holidays with \u201cChristmas at the Pines,\u201d beginning Saturday through Dec. 28.<\/p>\n
\u201cChristmas at the Pines\u201d was written by Pines co-owner Oliver Blatt in 2009 and has become a staple of Pines\u2019 holiday schedule.<\/p>\n
Blatt directs the musical, which includes seasonal favorites \u201cJingle Bells,\u201d \u201cWe Need a Little Christmas,\u201d \u201cThe Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire),\u201d \u201cLet it Snow\u201d and \u201cHome for the Holidays.\u201d<\/p>\n
The storyline zooms the small ensemble cast to Hawaii, complete with singers and dancers in Hawaiian shirts and hula skirts; back to the Old West, with a cowboy chorus, and to New England, for a Victorian Christmas.<\/p>\n
The show includes a Nativity scene and a cameo by Santa Claus.<\/p>\n
Pines also is producing \u201cSanta\u2019s Christmas Sing-Along Celebration\u201d from 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Nov. 28. There are photos with Santa after the show.<\/p>\n
Tickets are for shows only. Food will be available \u00e0 la carte.<\/p>\n
Several dinner\/show times for \u201cChristmas at the Pines\u201d are available. The times are: a noon dinner and 1:30 p.m. show on Thursdays and Sundays; 6 p.m. dinner, 7:30 p.m. show on Fridays; and noon dinner, 1:30 p.m. show, or 6 p.m. dinner, 7:30 p.m. show on Saturdays.<\/p>\n
