As die-hard-fans, a Bird\u2019s loss is never really \u201cacceptable\u201d in the sense that our days are always utterly ruined when they can\u2019t pull out the dub. That being said, most of us \u2014 albeit at a begrudgingly cognitive level \u2014 understand that the Eagles are not (*gasp*) going undefeated this year. I\u2019ve seen predictions ranging from 9-8 and 14-3 on BGN alone, which all having varying degrees of sensibility. <\/p>\n
So here\u2019s my question: What record do you have the Eagles going this year, and which specific games would say are games that you would be least displeased with if the Birds get an \u201cL\u201d in the column for that week? <\/p>\n
For me, any two losses in the first 5 weeks I would consider \u201cacceptable losses.\u201d This new offense is bound to have some growing pains, and between facing LA, Chicago, and having a game in London, a rockier start doesn\u2019t scream S.O.S. mode. Remember that we started 2-2 in 2024 when we won the SB. Beyond that, losing to Seattle would be understandable, and spitting the series with Dallas (which would SUCK big time) is something I\u2019m bracing for just because it\u2019s been the historic norm the last several years. Then, any losses in week 17 or 18 to rest starters if we\u2019ve secured playoff seeding is something I\u2019m fine with. After that, obviously no playoff loss is acceptable. We better go all the way baby. <\/p>\n
Tl;dr Starting 2-2 is fine, loss to Seahawks and inevitable split \ud83e\udd2e with Dallas to finish at 13-4 (#1 seed dependent).
