HAMILTON, N.Y. \u2013\u00a0The University of Pennsylvania men’s golf team finished sixth out of 13 teams at the season-opening Alex Lagowitz Memorial. The two-day, 54-hole tournament was hosted by Colgate University at the par-72 Seven Oaks Golf Club. Sophomore\u00a0Kayden Wang<\/a>\u00a0was the Quakers’ low scorer over the weekend. He had Penn’s low round\u00a0for the weekend in the second round, a 4-under-par 68, and concluded the weekend at 3-under-par 213. That left him tied for fifth in a field of 84\u00a0golfers, the best finish of his young career. Senior Hayden Adams<\/a>\u00a0carded 1-under-par 215 and tied for 14th, while sophomore Arjun Caprihan<\/a>\u00a0finished the weekend in 20th, shooting even par in all three rounds.<\/p>\n Sean Curran<\/a>\u00a0(223, +7, IND),\u00a0Wesley Hu<\/a>\u00a0(229, +13) and\u00a0Oliver Uribe<\/a>\u00a0(231, +15) were Penn’s other players on the weekend.<\/p>\n Charlie Barrickman was the events’ individual winner, finishing at 7-under-par 209 to claim the top spot. \nPenn shot 9-over-par 873\u00a0across three rounds in Hamilton. Seton Hall took home first place as a team, finishing the weekend at 11-under-par 853. That left the Pirates 10 shots ahead of second-place Saint Joseph’s (863) and 13 ahead of third-place finishers Holy Cross and Colgate (866).<\/p>\n
