<\/p>\nJennifer Hwang, DO, a Huntingdon Valley native and a 2005 graduate of Lower Moreland High School, soft launched ERAs Health & Longevity of Blue Bell on August 18.<\/p>\n
The new direct primary care practice is membership-based, meaning patients pay an annual fee. The facility has two doors: one for mid-life adults who want to stay ahead of their health, and another for older, aging adults.<\/p>\n
Dr. Hwang said her motivation to focus on both mid-life and geriatric patients stems from her 10 years working with Main Line Health.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs I worked more and more with older adults, I began to learn the trajectory mid-lifers were going to be on. I always wondered if they had met a doctor focused on prevention and longevity, could we have changed that trajectory?\u201d she said. \u201cI decided to build a practice centered on those aspects, specifically targeting adult children of geriatric patients. I want to optimize their health so they\u2019re functionally independent and strong into their older years.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYour 40s and 50s is a critical stage and can largely determine your health later on in life. If you aren\u2019t exercising, you\u2019re set up for having chronic conditions down the road,\u201d she said. \u201cWe look at biomarkers to come up with a plan to change the direction of your health.\u201d<\/p>\n
A mother of two little girls, Dr. Hwang said she\u2019s been helping her immigrant parents since childhood.<\/p>\n
\u201cI live in a multigenerational household. I feel like they\u2019re my patients, and I think I gravitate towards my ERAs patients because I\u2019m in that group,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Dr. Hwang said she was drawn to Blue Bell for its proximity.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thought it was a good midway point from the Main Line to Abington, Jenkintown, and Huntingdon Valley,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The practice opened to the public on September 1.<\/p>\n
Dr. Hwang is a board-certified family and geriatric medicine physician with a research background in the microbiome from her time at UPenn. She was named a Main Line Top Doc in 2025 and holds a life coaching certification and a palliative care communication certification.<\/p>\n
