{"id":281282,"date":"2026-09-08T06:28:22","date_gmt":"2026-09-08T06:28:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/281282\/"},"modified":"2026-09-08T06:28:22","modified_gmt":"2026-09-08T06:28:22","slug":"pennsylvania-lottery-launches-new-football-themed-draw-game","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/281282\/","title":{"rendered":"Pennsylvania Lottery launches new football-themed draw game"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">PENNSYLVANIA (WTAJ) &#8212; The Pennsylvania Lottery is launching a new football-themed draw game just in time for the NFL season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Powerball Xs &amp; Os\u2122 goes on sale Sept. 8 and features a progressive jackpot starting at $1 million.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The $5 game allows players to select eight NFL team logos from a field of 32 teams for a chance to win cash prizes and other rewards.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The first drawing will be held Sept. 13 at 10 p.m. ET. Players who match all eight team logos win the jackpot, while lower-tier prizes range from $7 to $20,000.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 12.16, according to the lottery.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In addition to cash prizes, players can enter both winning and non-winning tickets online for chances to win NFL-themed experiences, gift cards and a trip to the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko said the new game offers football fans an exciting way to play while also supporting programs that benefit older Pennsylvanians.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Lottery officials noted that Powerball Xs &amp; Os results are determined by random drawings and are not connected to the outcomes of NFL games.<\/p>\n<p>Get the latest news, weather forecasts and sports stories delivered straight to your inbox!
