On September 2 severe weather swept the Erie area leaving many without power and damaged property. Several are now without a home due to the extensive damage.<\/p>\n
GoFundMe has released three pages for several residents in the community who have been affected by the storm.<\/p>\n
Amirah and Benita lost their home during the storms which ultimately displaced them. All funds donated online here<\/a> will be split between Benita and Amirah.<\/p>\n Shelli a resident in Erie had a tree fall onto her rental home. This forced her to leave due to the home being unsafe and uninhabitable. The Red Cross has provided one week of emergency hotel lodging and Shelli has opened a claim with her renter\u2019s insurance however there is still a lot unknown regarding when the home can be repaired.<\/p>\n Donations will help Shelli with temporary housing, groceries, meals, laundry, any moving or storage costs, and the replacement of belongings. The GoFundMe to help Shelli can be found online here<\/a>.<\/p>\n One of the Gannon Fraternities Pi Kappa Alpha Epsilon Upsilon Chapter was hit by the severe storm which caused significant damage to the fraternity\u2019s property including a large tree that fell in the backyard completely destroying the shed and many of the lawn care equipment used to maintain the property.<\/p>\n
