Woman fatally shot in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood<\/p>\n

PITTSBURGH \u2014<\/p>\n

Pittsburgh police are investigating after a woman was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds in the city’s Homewood neighborhood on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n

Police responded to the 7200 block of Frankstown Avenue just after 6:30 p.m., following two ShotSpotter alerts that indicated a total of 20 rounds fired, public safety officials said.<\/p>\n

The unidentified victim was found on Forest Way, an alley behind Frankstown Avenue, and was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.<\/p>\n

No arrests have been made. The shooting is being investigated by detectives with the police bureau’s Violent Crime Unit.<\/p>\n
