{"id":282088,"date":"2026-09-09T09:32:25","date_gmt":"2026-09-09T09:32:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/282088\/"},"modified":"2026-09-09T09:32:25","modified_gmt":"2026-09-09T09:32:25","slug":"woman-shot-killed-in-homewood","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/282088\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman shot, killed in Homewood"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">PITTSBURGH \u2014 A woman was shot and killed in Homewood on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">A Pittsburgh Police public information officer said emergency crews were called to the 7200 block of Frankstown Avenue at 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">A ShotSpotter recorded a total of 20 rounds fired along the border between the city\u2019s Homewood North and South neighborhoods.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Police found a woman who had been shot multiple times, including in the head, on Forest Way. She was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Officers are recovering shell casings and reviewing surveillance footage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">At this time, no arrests have been made. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">This is a developing story.
