{"id":282208,"date":"2026-09-09T13:04:09","date_gmt":"2026-09-09T13:04:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/282208\/"},"modified":"2026-09-09T13:04:09","modified_gmt":"2026-09-09T13:04:09","slug":"new-inpatient-rehabilitation-hospital-opens-in-montgomery-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/282208\/","title":{"rendered":"New inpatient rehabilitation hospital opens in Montgomery County"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LOWER PROVIDENCE \u2014 Encompass Health will begin accepting patients this month at its new rehabilitation hospital in Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County.<\/p>\n<p>Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Lower Providence is a more than 54,000-square-foot, 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital located at 2660 Audubon Road. The hospital will employ about 105 full-time people in the first year.<\/p>\n<p>The freestanding hospital will provide rehabilitative services to help patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions regain function and independence, the hospital said. Therapies include physical, occupational and speech, according to information on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.encompasshealth.com\/locations\/lower-providence-rehab\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">hospital\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Patients will receive a minimum of three hours of intensive therapy five days each week, frequent physician visits and 24-hour nursing care, according to Encompass.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is a great need for our level of rehabilitative care in Lower Providence,\u201d Dianne Charsha, Encompass Health Lower Providence CEO, said in a statement. \u201cI know our dedicated team of healthcare professionals will have an immediate impact on patients, helping them return to what matters most.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Encompass said the new facility is designed with patients\u2019 needs in mind. In addition to private patient rooms, the hospital features a therapy gym with advanced rehabilitation technologies, an activities of daily living suite, in-house dialysis suite, therapy courtyard, dining room, in-house pharmacy and dayroom areas.<\/p>\n<p>An interdisciplinary team of specialized nurses, therapists and physicians will provide physical, occupational and speech therapies to restore functional ability and quality of life, according to the release.<\/p>\n<p>Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Lower Providence hosted a grand opening and ribbon cutting event on Sept. 2.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" lazyautosizes lazyload\" alt=\"Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Lower Providence will begin accepting patients this month.
