Fiesta on the Square is bringing members of Erie\u2019s Latino community together to celebrate Hispanic heritage, culture and inclusion.<\/p>\n
The event highlights the strong presence of Latino community members in Erie while giving others an opportunity to learn about the cultures and contributions that are shaping the community.<\/p>\n
Fiesta on the Square is focused on celebrating Latino culture while creating more opportunities for involvement and connection. Organizers say representation and guidance are especially important as people from countries across Latin America continue to call Erie home.<\/p>\n
The event will feature local food vendors, live music, family activities and a dance competition.<\/p>\n
Maria Ortiz, a board member of the Erie Latino Association, says the organization\u2019s goal is to empower, educate and guide the Latino community.<\/p>\n

Ortiz says Erie\u2019s Latino community includes people from countries including Mexico, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Brazil, Guatemala, El Salvador and Ecuador.<\/p>\n
