The work was supposed to start in 2028, but now it&#8217;s been moved up to next year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Improvements will start along North Washington Avenue between Lackawanna Avenue and Gibson Street and along Mulberry Street between North Washington and Madison Avenues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a data-ylk=\"slk:Scranton &#039;nuisance bar&#039; ends nightclub operations;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;link&quot;,&quot;yLinkElementType&quot;:&quot;article_link&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/www.2822news.com\/news\/crime-courts\/scranton-nuisance-bar-ends-nightclub-operations\/?ipid=promo-link-block1\" class=\"promo-link__link\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0Scranton &#8216;nuisance bar&#8217; ends nightclub operations\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">On Thursday, people around downtown Scranton told 28\/22 News they are excited for this downtown investment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Seems like every other week there&#8217;s a break and some part of town is out of water, and you can&#8217;t have that. It interrupts business, commerce, you have to keep things going.
