Among the speakers Thursday on the second day of the\u00a0Republican National Committee’s midterm convention in Dallas was U.S. Rep. Ryan Mackenzie from the Lehigh Valley.<\/p>\n
The Republican, who represents Pennsylvania’s 7th district, shared some of the things he’s accomplished since getting elected in 2024.<\/p>\n
“And when it comes to federal resources for our community, I brought home over $160 million to help our health systems and local manufacturers, and provide much needed resources for our first responders,” he said.<\/p>\n
Mackenzie is running against Democratic candidate Bob Brooks this November.<\/p>\n
Brooks is speaking out after Mackenzie’s appearance at the midterm convention.<\/p>\n
He blamed Mackenzie and Republicans for “skyrocketing prices” on gas, groceries and health care. Brooks went on to say, “I answer to the Lehigh Valley. Ryan Mackenzie answers to Trump.”<\/p>\n
WFMZ will host a debate between the two on October 21.
