{"id":283558,"date":"2026-09-11T06:32:27","date_gmt":"2026-09-11T06:32:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/283558\/"},"modified":"2026-09-11T06:32:27","modified_gmt":"2026-09-11T06:32:27","slug":"geisinger-offering-drive-through-flu-shots-saturday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/283558\/","title":{"rendered":"Geisinger offering drive-through flu shots Saturday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With flu season quickly approaching, Geisinger is making it easy to get vaccinated at Saturday drive-through events.<\/p>\n<p>The first event will be this Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The second Saturday flu shot clinic is scheduled for Oct. 17.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe flu can lead to serious illness, hospitalization and missed time with family, work and school,\u201d Dr. Stanley Martin, director of infectious diseases at Geisinger, said in a press release. \u201cGetting vaccinated is one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect yourself, your family and others who may be at higher risk for severe illness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Most insurance plans cover an annual flu vaccine. Patients will be asked to provide insurance information at the time of vaccination. Those without insurance can also receive a drive-through flu shot.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday clinics will be held at the following locations:<\/p>\n<p>Clinics<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Geisinger Dallas (114 Lt.
