DENNIS SCRANTON MEMORIAL CANCER FUND"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Donations are being sought to help continue the work of the Dr. Dennis Scranton Memorial Cancer Fund, which assists local cancer patients with travel and treatment-related expenses.<\/p>\n<p>The fund was established in 2004 following the death of Fairfield physician Dr. Dennis Scranton and relies entirely on donations from the public.<\/p>\n<p>During the past year, more than $18,000 was distributed to area cancer patients, nearly depleting available funds.<br \/>The program is administered through Wayne-White Electric Cooperative in Fairfield.<\/p>\n<p>Individuals, businesses and organizations wishing to contribute may mail donations to the Dr. Dennis Scranton Memorial Cancer Fund, P.O.
