Nivin Pauly’s “Bethlehem Kudumba Unit” is on the way to achieve the biggest milestone yet, as it completes its third-week run in theatres. Its Day 21 domestic net of \u20b92.30 crore in India, from 1,711 shows, has pushed it closer to the #1 position in the list of all-time highest-grossing Malayalam films. Its total India gross collection is now \u20b9158.20 crore and India net collection, \u20b9135.45 crore.<\/p>\n
\u00a0The film also maintained a steady performance overseas, earning \u20b91.25 crore on Day 21. Its total overseas gross now stands at \u20b9130.25 crore. With this, “Bethlehem Kudumba Unit” has reached a worldwide gross of \u20b9288.45 crore.<\/p>\n
\u00a0The film is now just \u20b911.55 crore away from crossing the prestigious \u20b9300 crore global mark. If its current pace continues, it is expected to comfortably pass the milestone and finish its lifetime theatrical run in the \u20b9305\u2013\u20b9315 crore range.<\/p>\n
Such a finish would put ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’ in direct competition with ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra” for the title of the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time. “Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra” currently stands at an estimated \u20b9302\u2013\u20b9304 crore worldwide.<\/p>\n
The film has already surpassed major Malayalam blockbusters such as “Manjummel Boys” and “L2: Empuraan”. It currently ranks second among the biggest worldwide grossers in Mollywood and is closing in on the all-time record.<\/p>\n
In Kerala, the film’s performance has been equally impressive. The Onam release has collected \u20b9128.25 crore in the state by Day 21, putting it just \u20b91.25 crore behind “Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros”, which finished with \u20b9129.50 crore.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Both films reached the \u20b9100 crore mark in Kerala in just 15 days, tying the record for the fastest \u20b9100 crore collection in the state.
