MIFFLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) \u2014 Police seized several pounds of marijuana product from a vape shop in Lewistown on Sept. 3.<\/p>\n
Pennsylvania State Police had an undercover officer purchase marijuana from Lewistown Tobacco and Vape in the 100 block of South Main Street, leading officers to execute a search warrant.<\/p>\n
A resident complained that after ingesting a product from the vape shop, they took a urinalysis that came back positive for traces of synthetic cannabinoids, commonly referred to as K2, according to officials. They claimed the only thing they ingested was from the vape shop.<\/p>\n
The Lewistown Police Department seized several pounds of marijuana product and over two thousand dollars in cash, officials believed to be proceeds from selling the illegal substance.<\/p>\n
Officials searched products that were on sale at the shop, many of which contained high levels of THC and some labeled as Delta-8 THC.<\/p>\n
Among the products, officers found edible gummies that were labeled as a marijuana product from California.<\/p>\n
Officials reported that they have arrested people who were driving under the influence of products from the vape shop.<\/p>\n
The employee present during the search claimed to be unaware the shop was selling anything illegal. When officers reached out to the owner of Lewistown Tobacco and Vape, who resides in West Virginia, they also claimed to be unaware the shop was selling any illegal product.<\/p>\n
