Lawrence Convention Center"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/pittsburgh\/organization\/sports-exhibition-authority\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sports and Exhibition Authority<\/a> unanimously approved a new contract for the management and operation of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The SEA board approved the contract with Oak View Group (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/pittsburgh\/organization\/ovg\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">OVG<\/a>) during it\u2019s regular monthly meeting on Thursday. The contract was approved for a five-year period. The previous management agency for the convention center was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/pittsburgh\/organization\/legends-global\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Legends Global<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Michael Halpern, SEA procurement and MWBE specialist, said that after advertising an RFP, they interviewed both Oak View and Legends Global.
