It&#8217;s part of his Eagle Scout Project.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A crowd of firefighters and EMTs cheered him on including his father, Scranton Fire Captain Andy Polansky.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a data-ylk=\"slk:Stories from the newsroom on 9\/11;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;link&quot;,&quot;yLinkElementType&quot;:&quot;article_link&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/www.2822news.com\/news\/stories-from-the-newsroom-on-9-11\/?ipid=promo-link-block1\" class=\"promo-link__link\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0Stories from the newsroom on 9\/11\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Both Jack and his father said the moment serves to honor the sacrifices first responders make every day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Especially today, on September 11th, this definitely means a lot more. On September 11th, the 25th anniversary, 250th birthday, it was very special,&#8221; Troop 50 Senior Patrol Leader, Jack Polansky, said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Every day I come into work and everyone that I get to work with, when we look out the front door, when we leave the building, when we back in, this is something that we also get to see,&#8221; Jack&#8217;s father and Scranton Fire Captain, Andy Polansky, added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A plaque will soon be mounted near the flagpole on North Main Avenue in Scranton.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
