Flood Watch for western PA through 1 a.m. Sunday<\/p>\n

The risk of heavier rainfall is highest east of Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n

Today’s Impact Day is for scattered rain and gusty storms this afternoon and evening. A Flood Watch is now out for all of western Pennsylvania through 1 a.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n

Flood Watch<\/p>\n

The Flood Watch has been expanded and now includes the entire area through 1 a.m. Sunday. It may only take an inch of rain in an hour for flash flooding to occur.<\/p>\n

All of western PA is included in the latest Flood Watch.<\/p>\n

The risk of heavier rainfall, which could be two to four inches, is highest near and east of Pittsburgh. <\/p>\n

Impact Day: Scattered PM heavy rain and storms<\/p>\n

The earlier, the better if you have running around to do or plans today. It is an Impact Day for scattered rain and gusty storms, especially after 3 p.m. Pack the rain gear if you are going to the Pitt game. Heavier rain will move east before midnight. Western PA continues drying out overnight.<\/p>\n

The best coverage of heavy rain and storms will hit this evening.<\/p>\n

Flooding is the top threat. It may take as little as an inch of rain over a few hours to start flash flooding. Thunderstorms will also carry gusty winds.<\/p>\n

Drier Steelers Sunday<\/p>\n

Muggy conditions will linger for the first Steelers Sunday of the season. Morning clouds will give way to more sunshine during the game. The kick off temperature will be around 80 degrees. A storm could pop-up post-game.<\/p>\n

The new work and school week begins dry with sunshine. More rain is still on track for Thursday. <\/p>\n
