Northeast Sight Services is preparing for its annual awards dinner on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Westmoreland Club.<\/p>\n
The event will celebrate four individuals and organizations whose dedication and impact have made a difference in the community and in the lives of people who are blind or visually impaired.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s honorees include Anzalone and Doyle, recipients of the Marion Pollock CommunityPartnership Award, sponsored by Dr. Brian O\u2019Donnell and New Era Eye Care; Trion Industries, recipient of the Distinguished Community Service Award, sponsored by Community Bank N.A.; Tina McCarthy, recipient of the Golden Anna Cervenak Community Impact Award, sponsored by McCarthy Tire Service; and Jennifer Hayes, recipient of the Arline Phillips Achievement Award, sponsored by Eye Care Specialists.<\/p>\n
The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m., and tickets are $150. Tickets, sponsorships and onlineauction registration are available at northeastsight.cbo.io.<\/p>\n

The awards dinner is the largest fundraiser of the year for Northeast Sight Services, with proceeds supporting the organization\u2019s programs and services for individuals who are blind or visually impaired throughout Northeast Pennsylvania. The event also provides an opportunity for community members, supporters and friends of the organization to come together and recognize those making a difference.<\/p>\n
In addition to the dinner, guests and community members can participate in the Northeast Sight Services Online Silent Auction, which opens at noon Monday, Oct. 19, and closes at noon on Thursday, Oct. 22.
