Israeli forces demolished a Palestinian-owned home in the village of Battir in Bethlehem province in the southern occupied West Bank on Thursday, Anadolu reports.<\/p>\n

The Israeli army claimed that the house was demolished because it had been built without a permit.<\/p>\n

Israeli heavy machinery was used to raze the building as soldiers carried out a raid in the area.<\/p>\n

Israeli soldiers and occupiers carried out 2,256 attacks against Palestinians, their land, and property during the same month, according to the Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission.<\/p>\n

It said Israeli forces were responsible for 1,458 of the attacks, while occupiers carried out 798.<\/p>\n

Israel\u2019s current government has described itself as the most supportive of settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank.<\/p>\n

Settlement activity has expanded and accelerated significantly across the occupied West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem, since Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu\u2019s government was formed in late 2022.<\/p>\n

The UN recognizes the West Bank and East Jerusalem as occupied Palestinian territories.<\/p>\n

Around 750,000 Israeli settlers live in 141 illegal settlements and 224 settlement outposts across the occupied West Bank, including some 250,000 in 15 settlements in occupied East Jerusalem.<\/p>\n

The UN has repeatedly affirmed that Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories are illegal under international law and warned that they undermine prospects for a two-state solution.<\/p>\n
