DUNMORE \u2014 Brady McCormick had a perfect passing game, and Dunmore\u2019s abundance of talented weapons kept reaching the end zone in the team\u2019s third dominant effort in as many weeks.<\/p>\n
On one big play after another, the undefeated Bucks\u2019 speed and athleticism proved too much in a 63-7 win over Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon in a nonleague game at Monsignor Crotti Field at St. Anthony\u2019s Memorial Park.<\/p>\n
McCormick completed all seven passes for 118 yards and three touchdowns during an explosive first half for the fourth-ranked Class 2A team in the PennLive.com state rankings.<\/p>\n
Dunmore is 3-0, outscoring its opponents, 167-14.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe woke up this morning, and we arrived at the fieldhouse extremely energized,\u201d McCormick said. \u201cWe felt like we came out and took over immediately. The offense was pumped, the line was hitting people, we were scoring touchdowns on the first couple passes, and that was an important part of the way we played.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dunmore built a 49-0 lead in the first half with six players scoring touchdowns.<\/p>\n
In the first quarter, Jake Costanzo, a District 2 Class 2A champion in the 200- and 400-meter races and a PIAA Class 2A medal winner, scored on a 15-yard run to start the onslaught.<\/p>\n
McCormick hit Weston Yannone on a screen pass, and the PIAA medal winner in the Class 2A hurdles raced past defenders for a 22-yard touchdown on a one-play drive.<\/p>\n
The lead swelled to 21-0 after McCormick connected with Costanzo for a 29-yard score with 4:47 remaining.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have a limited number of games as seniors, and we want to make the most of every opportunity,\u201d Costanzo said. \u201cWe had to focus on what we needed to do best. Everything is starting to come together. We focused on cleaning things up and the fundamentals.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dunmore found the end zone again. McCormick launched a pass to Jack McHale for a 31-yard score on another one-play drive to close out the first quarter.<\/p>\n
Josef Wolff scored on a 9-yard run in the second quarter, returned the second-half kickoff for a touchdown and finished with 43 yards on three carries, as the Bucks had a lot of players involved in the action.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe played with confidence,\u201d Wolff said. \u201cWe play really well together as a team.\u201d<\/p>\n
Colin Coulthard, Carter Coyle and Jack Donahoe also had rushing touchdowns for Dunmore, which finished with 255 total yards on 28 plays.<\/p>\n
Logan Miller, Jackson Harding and Benjamin Sanaphol each had sacks, and Dunmore limited Holy Cross to 31 total yards on its first 38 plays.<\/p>\n
