Philadelphia Phillies<\/a> left-hander Tanner Banks<\/a> was reinstated from the 60-day injured list before their game Sunday at the Atlanta Braves<\/a>.<\/p>\n Banks landed on the injured list July 9 with a left forearm strain. The 34-year-old is 0-4 with a 7.14 ERA in 28 games. He has allowed 23 earned runs in 29 innings.<\/p>\n He made multiple rehab appearances for Triple-A Lehigh Valley in preparation for his return to the staff.<\/p>\n “He’s getting to the point where he’s pretty much ready if needed,” interim manager Don Mattingly told reporters last week.<\/p>\n Right-hander Grant Holman<\/a> was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley a day after allowing five unearned runs while recording one out in his major league debut during Saturday’s 12-2 loss<\/a> to the Braves.<\/p>\n Infielder Christian Cairo was designated for assignment to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Banks.<\/p>\n The Associated Press contributed to this report.<\/p>\n Copyright \u00a9 2026 ESPN Internet Ventures.
