First, let me say that Main Line Health Cardiologist Frank McGeehan has been keeping my husband alive for nearly thirty-six years.<\/p>\n
And that is no exaggeration, i.e. through twelve surgeries and innumerable procedures and tests.<\/p>\n
Today at Mass, two days after our nation\u2019s 25th anniversary commemorations of the 9\/11 attacks, at Saint Margaret Church, under the direction of Father Robert Terranova, O.S.A., we prayed for the recovery of several people.<\/p>\n
SJU\u2019s Don DiJulia and Lankenau\u2019s Craig Stretch received heartfelt prayers so God will see them through their current medical challenges and restore them to their families, friends, and colleagues.<\/p>\n
It is not a stretch to say that every one of you, our Main Line Media News readers, has benefitted directly or indirectly from cardiac care and its foundational significance.<\/p>\n
Today, you are asked to back up that cardiac care beneficence \u2013 and gratitude \u2013 by supporting the efforts of the Lankenau John B. Deaver Auxiliary of the Women\u2019s Board at their annual fundraiser.<\/p>\n
A very generous, year-to-year donor to Lankenau has been Michael J. Morris of Wynnewood, who explains,<\/p>\n
\u201cThe John B. Deaver Auxiliary hosts a community celebration of physicians, administrators, and neighbors who contribute toward continued improvement in treatment excellence at Lankenau Hospital, and I am pleased to be one of those very appreciative neighbors.\u201d<\/p>\n
The John B. Deaver Auxiliary of the Lankenau Medical Center Women\u2019s Board will host its annual fundraiser, \u201cCelebration for a Cause,\u201d on Saturday, September 26, at Llanerch Country Club.<\/p>\n
The event is co-chaired by Joan Hindin and Kathleen O\u2019Connor-Eicke.<\/p>\n
Year 2026 honorees are Alfred E. Putnam, who has stepped down after 30 years as Chairman of the Lankenau Medical Center Foundation Board, and Maribel Hernandez, Medical Director of the Women\u2019s Heart Initiative.<\/p>\n
As noted on the website, \u201cThe evening will begin with a festive cocktail party consisting of a silent auction and musical selections by a DJ at 6 p.m., followed by a program, dinner stations, and a birthday dessert tribute to Alfred E. Putnam.<\/p>\n
