BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Police in Bethlehem say authorities seized firearms, drugs, and seven suspected improvised explosive devices from a home Friday.<\/p>\n
Rondell K. McNeil, 50, of Bethlehem, faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after authorities executed a search warrant Friday at a home on the 200 block of 8th Avenue as part of an ongoing investigation, the Bethlehem Police Department said in a news release.<\/p>\n
Before the execution of the search warrant, investigators saw McNeil leave the home and drive from the area, city police said.<\/p>\n
City police said patrol officers assisting with the operation conducted a traffic stop and detained McNeil. During a subsequent search, officers found suspected crack cocaine on McNeil\u2019s person, according to city police.<\/p>\n
According to police, investigators then executed the search warrant at the home.<\/p>\n
During the search, officers found quantities of suspected crack cocaine and marijuana that investigators allege were consistent with distribution, according to the news release.<\/p>\n
City police said officers also recovered scales and packaging materials consistent with the weighing and packaging of narcotics.<\/p>\n
Field testing of the suspected crack cocaine and marijuana returned positive results, according to city police. A Bethlehem Police K-9 assisted investigators during the search of the home.<\/p>\n
Investigators also recovered two firearms from inside the home, including a loaded firearm, city police said.<\/p>\n
According to police, McNeil is prohibited from possessing firearms due to a prior felony conviction.<\/p>\n
Police said investigators found seven suspected improvised explosive devices inside a bedroom.<\/p>\n
City police said McNeil is charged with:<\/p>\n
Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, a felony<\/p>\n
Simple Possession, a misdemeanor<\/p>\n
Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor<\/p>\n
Weapons of Mass Destruction, a felony<\/p>\n
Risking Catastrophe, a felony<\/p>\n
Persons Not to Possess, Use, Manufacture, Control, Sell or Transfer Firearms, a felony<\/p>\n
City police said McNeil was arraigned by District Magistrate Judge D\u2019Amore and bail was set at $100,000.<\/p>\n
