Senator Dan Laughlin has announced that 18 projects within Erie County have been awarded $5,109,357 combined for upgrades to municipal buildings, public safety equipment, water and sewer infrastructure, and heavy machinery for townships and boroughs throughout the district.<\/p>\n
The funding was awarded through the Commonwealth\u2019s Local Share Account (LSA) program. According to Laughlin the funding will go directly to the everyday needs of the communities.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese investments go directly toward the everyday needs of our communities \u2014 safer roads, dependable water systems, and the equipment our first responders and public works crews rely on,” Laughlin said.<\/p>\n
Gaming revenue is directed by the LSA program back to local governments and organizations for public infrastructure, equipment, and community improvement projects.<\/p>\n
