This past weekend the nonprofit based near Easton celebrated the grand reopening of its new subsidiary,\u00a0Homestead Kennels and Cattery\u00a0at 575 Jacobsburg Road in Bushkill Township.<\/p>\n<p>As 69 News previously reported, CAHW purchased Homestead earlier this year as a way to diversify its revenue stream.<\/p>\n<p>                        <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAQAAAADCAQAAAAe\/WZNAAAAEElEQVR42mM8U88ABowYDABAxQPltt5zqAAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==\" alt=\"The Center for Animal Health &amp; Welfare in Northampton County\" class=\"img-responsive lazyload full blur\" width=\"534\" height=\"300\" data- data-\/><\/p>\n<p>             <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/6aa9a18068dc3.image.jpg\" alt=\"\" aria-hidden=\"true\" loading=\"lazy\" height=\"112\" width=\"200\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                                    Courtesy of The Center for Animal Health &amp; Welfare<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The addition of Homestead allows the organization to offer more resources for adopters and pet owners while helping it sustain and grow programs that help animals find and stay in their forever homes,&#8221; CAHW said, in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>CAHW opened in 1913 and previously operated\u00a0as the Northampton County SPCA. In 2003, it announced its intentions to transition to a no-kill shelter.
