{"id":286739,"date":"2026-09-15T21:10:11","date_gmt":"2026-09-15T21:10:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/286739\/"},"modified":"2026-09-15T21:10:11","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T21:10:11","slug":"reading-man-31-identified-in-fatal-motorcycle-crash-in-lehigh-county-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/286739\/","title":{"rendered":"Reading man, 31, identified in fatal motorcycle crash in Lehigh County"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Authorities have identified a Reading man who died Monday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcall.com\/2026\/09\/14\/motorcyclist-killed-in-lehigh-county-crash-monday\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">in a crash with a dump truck on Route 222 in Upper Macungie Township.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Francis Gonzalez, 31, was riding a motorcycle that was hit by the truck about 8:50 a.m. at the intersection of Route 222 and Cetronia Road, according to Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.<\/p>\n<p>Gonzalez was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, where he died from his injuries about an hour later. His cause of death was multiple blunt-force trauma, with the manner accidental, the coroner said.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the truck, a 37-year-old man from Pine Grove, Schuylkill County, was not injured, according to township police.<\/p>\n<p>The crash is under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 484-661-5911.<\/p>\n<p>There have been 16 fatal motorcycle crashes in Lehigh County this year so far, according to Buglio.
