PALMER TWP., Pa. – A multi-generational twin-birth story has forever changed a Northampton County family.<\/p>\n
It has a Palmer Township mother and daughter asking if it’s fate or just a coincidence?<\/p>\n
34 years ago, Leeann Febbo became a mother to double the trouble and double the fun, with twins Paul and Caroline.<\/p>\n
For Leeann, a first look at her son and daughter, was love at first sight.<\/p>\n
“And I looked at her and I said, ‘And 34 years later, you’re going to give birth to a set of twins,” said Leeann, speaking into existence to Caroline.<\/p>\n
34 years later, it’s September 4, 2026.<\/p>\n
Caroline Febbo-Bechtel, 34, also found herself at St. Luke’s Health Network, eager and ready.<\/p>\n
Her firstborn daughter had just turned 2 years old, and it was time to expand the family.<\/p>\n
“We went for our first ultrasound. I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ Like I was so excited because I always wanted twins,” said Caroline. “Just because I was a twin.”<\/p>\n
That’s right, a wish that came true twice.<\/p>\n
“They [hospital staff] said, ‘Dad, state the gender.’ And when the first one came out, I was like, ‘I bet you it’s a boy.’ And he goes, ‘Boy!'” said Caroline.<\/p>\n
His name is Joseph Paul.<\/p>\n
“As he was going to announce my daughter, I was like, ‘I feel like it’s going to be a girl now, like 100%.’ He goes, ‘It’s a girl!'” said Caroline.<\/p>\n
Her name is Felicity Ann.<\/p>\n
“And the odd thing is, it was kind of the same birth,” said Leeann.<\/p>\n
“Me and my brother were a minute apart. These two were crazy. They were 15 seconds apart,” said Caroline.<\/p>\n
And on top of that, Caroline’s twin brother, Paul, also welcomed a new baby boy a few weeks prior.<\/p>\n
It begs the question: fate or coincidence?<\/p>\n
“It was like fate was like, ‘Nope, sorry, you’re going to do the same thing as your mom,'” said Caroline.<\/p>\n
“It was truly history repeating; you couldn’t figure this out,” said Leeann. “I said to her, ‘Well, maybe we’re starting a tradition.'”<\/p>\n
