{"id":288235,"date":"2026-09-17T16:06:11","date_gmt":"2026-09-17T16:06:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/288235\/"},"modified":"2026-09-17T16:06:11","modified_gmt":"2026-09-17T16:06:11","slug":"bathhouse-opens-36000-square-foot-wellness-complex-in-philadelphias-center-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/288235\/","title":{"rendered":"Bathhouse Opens 36,000-Square-Foot Wellness Complex in Philadelphia\u2019s Center City"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A coed bathhouse is opening in <a href=\"https:\/\/925xtu.com\/tag\/philadelphia\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Philly<\/a>, and it&#8217;s something you have to experience for yourself.<\/p>\n<p>Bathhouse, a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.abathhouse.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">popular social wellness brand<\/a>, will open its first social spa outside New York City, making it the first facility of its kind to operate in Center City Philadelphia.<\/p>\n<p>The 36,000-square-foot wellness complex in Philadelphia&#8217;s Center City converted the Bellevue Hotel&#8217;s former Tiffany &amp; Co. space at 200 S. Broad St. into a three-sauna, three-pool facility. A brick-walled basement houses three indoor pools, an infrared sauna, a dry sauna, a banya, and a steam room, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phillymag.com\/be-well-philly\/2026\/09\/15\/bathhouse-philly-opens\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">according to a Philadelphia magazine report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The dry sauna will host daily Aufguss sessions, a ritual of circulating steam with snowball melts, towels, essential oils, music, and lights.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Recovery massages will be available as standalone bookings, although Philly&#8217;s location will not offer body scrubs as some other Bathhouse sites do.<\/p>\n<p>An outdoor third-floor terrace with a pool, sauna, lounge, and concessions is planned for early 2027, with a fourth sauna and pool. Terrace amenities will also open around the same time,\u00a0Philadelphia\u00a0magazine noted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBringing Bathhouse to Philadelphia as part of the Bellevue redevelopment is a meaningful milestone for us,\u201d said Bathhouse co-founder Travis Talmadge in a statement shared with Philadelphia. \u201cWe&#8217;re excited to introduce sauna culture and best-in-class recovery modalities to a city known for its social, fun, and dynamic energy \u2014 values that are central to the Bathhouse experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When it opens next week, Bathhouse will be accessible from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. You can\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.abathhouse.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">book a day pass online<\/a>. The cost of a day pass varies by day and time \u2014 right now, passes start at $29.<\/p>\n<p>Bathhouse&#8217;s expansion to Philadelphia comes as social sauna and contrast therapy concepts are gaining steam across the United States. <a href=\"https:\/\/athletechnews.com\/bathhouse-expands-beyond-nyc-with-massive-philadelphia-location\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">According to an Athletech news report<\/a>, brands such as Othership and Sauna House are raising capital and opening new locations at the same time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A coed bathhouse is opening in Philly, and it&#8217;s something you have to experience for yourself.
