The teams will run on the Fran Rizzo Cross Country Course, and the women compete at 4:45 p.m. in the 5k, followed by a 5:30 p.m. start for the men&#8217;s 4 mile.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/womens-cross-country\/roster\/lindsay-yakaboski\/24750\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24750\" target=\"_blank\">Lindsay Yakaboski<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-cross-country\/roster\/brian-gent\/25905\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25905\" target=\"_blank\">Brian Gent<\/a> will open their senior campaigns in Haverford, Pa. Yakaboski enters the season after setting a personal best in the 5K with a time of 19:52.5 in 2025, while Gent returns to the course for the first time since his freshman year. Both seniors will look to use their experience to help lead the team in continuing a strong start to the season.<\/p>\n<p>Penn will see two newcomers, <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/womens-cross-country\/roster\/lily-lyons\/25876\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25876\" target=\"_blank\">Lily Lyons<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-cross-country\/roster\/brody-watt\/25892\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25892\" target=\"_blank\">Brody Watt<\/a>, at the 2026 Main Line Invitational.<\/p>\n<p>2025 Main Line Invitational<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nAt the 2025 Main Line Invitational, the men&#8217;s team captured first place in the team points, powered by four returning runners who finished inside the top 10. <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-cross-country\/roster\/kofi-fordjour\/25318\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25318\" target=\"_blank\">Kofi Fordjour<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-cross-country\/roster\/shane-murphy\/25320\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25320\" target=\"_blank\">Shane Murphy<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-cross-country\/roster\/esfan-daya\/25323\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25323\" target=\"_blank\">Esfan Daya<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-cross-country\/roster\/vinay-raman\/25330\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25330\" target=\"_blank\">Vinay Raman<\/a> each delivered strong performances, establishing a solid foundation for the Quakers&#8217; success.<\/p>\n<p>On the women&#8217;s side, <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/womens-cross-country\/roster\/courtney-kaiser\/24753\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24753\" target=\"_blank\">Courtney Kaiser<\/a> recorded the returning Quakers&#8217; strongest individual finish, placing seventh with a time of 18:01.2. The performances helped the Quakers finish second in the team standings, just behind Providence College.<\/p>\n<p>On the men&#8217;s side first-year <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-cross-country\/roster\/nick-mazzeo\/25891\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25891\" target=\"_blank\">Nick Mazzeo<\/a> captured first place in the 6K in his collegiate debut, crossing the finish line in 18:01.2. His standout performance earned him Ivy League Athlete of the Week honors.<\/p>\n<p>The Red and Blue also dominated the team standings, placing five runners among the top nine finishers. <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-cross-country\/roster\/chris-larnard\/25324\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25324\" target=\"_blank\">Chris Larnard<\/a> led the group with a fourth-place finish, followed by Fordjour in sixth, Murphy in seventh, and Raman in ninth.
