<\/p>\n
Yesterday afternoon, Lawrence County Fire Company (LCFC) was dispatched to the area of Martin Avenue and Mechanic Street for a reported vehicle versus E-bike collision. Initial dispatch information indicated that as many as two E-bikes may have been involved, with two patients requiring evaluation.<\/p>\n
Mutual aid was requested from A.F. Dobler Hose & Ladder Co., West County Paramedics, and STAT MedEvac, which was placed on standby while crews responded.<\/p>\n
Chief 560 arrived on scene and reported one patient down in the roadway and a second patient who was able to walk. Patient care was immediately initiated while additional emergency personnel arrived to assist.<\/p>\n
LCFC units, A.F. Dobler Hose & Ladder Co. Rescue 544, and West County Paramedics worked together to assess and treat the patients. A total of two patients were evaluated, including one Class 2 patient and one Class 4 patient. One patient was transported by West County Paramedics to UPMC Hamot for further medical treatment.<\/p>\n
The roadway was temporarily closed while emergency crews operated at the scene. LCFC Fire Police and A.F. Dobler Hose Fire Police assisted with traffic control to ensure the safety of responders and the public.<\/p>\n
