{"id":288605,"date":"2026-09-18T02:10:09","date_gmt":"2026-09-18T02:10:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/288605\/"},"modified":"2026-09-18T02:10:09","modified_gmt":"2026-09-18T02:10:09","slug":"philadelphia-officials-report-possible-measles-at-chops-nicu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/288605\/","title":{"rendered":"Philadelphia officials report possible measles at CHOP\u2019s NICU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From Philly and the Pa. suburbs to South Jersey and Delaware, what would you like WHYY News to cover? <a href=\"#Section1\">Let us know!<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>City health officials say there was a possible measles exposure at Children\u2019s Hospital of Philadelphia, including in the hospital\u2019s NICU, or neonatal intensive care unit.\n<\/p>\n<p>According <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phila.gov\/2025-03-24-whats-happening-with-measles-in-and-around-philadelphia\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">to a release from the city\u2019s Department of Public Health<\/a>, the possible exposure happened at CHOP\u2019s main building at 3401 Civic Center Blvd. on Friday, Sept. 11, at various times and locations throughout the day, including:\n<\/p>\n<p>Between 9:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. at NICU West<br \/>\nBetween 9:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. at NICU West Family Lounge<br \/>\nBetween 9:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. at the CHOP Atrium<br \/>\nBetween 12:05 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. at the CHOP Main Cafeteria<\/p>\n<p>Officials said they\u2019re working to give all infants in the NICU a preventative antibody treatment to help protect them from measles.
