Shocking video shows an idiotic Philadelphia man hanging from a moving train \u2013 and he is now at the center of a SEPTA investigation.<\/p>\n

The passenger \u2013 who was wearing a Hawaiian shirt and one earphone \u2013 crouched and swayed as he held onto the back of an L train traveling between the city\u2019s 40th Street and 46th Street stations in the footage shared online Tuesday, NBC10 reported.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

The man\u2019s reckless stunt was recorded by stunned passengers inside the train car, who uploaded it to social media and opted for the \u201cSpider-Man\u201d theme tune.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnly in Philly,\u201d the video\u2019s caption said, lamenting the shocking scenes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Passengers couldn\u2019t believe someone would ride a train from the outside, potentially putting their life at risk.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cNever seen nothing like that, that\u2019s madness,\u201d Edquardo Chinnell, a passenger from Germantown, told WPVI.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cYou are dancing on a thin line of life and death, because anything could happen,\u201d Cody Langley said.<\/p>\n

The man\u2019s bizarre behavior is now at the center of a SEPTA investigation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t understand what makes people want to do something this dangerous,\u201d Marc Pasquarella, the SEPTA police captain, said.<\/p>\n

\"AThe man crouched and swayed as he clung onto the back of the train. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s insane. It\u2019s extremely dangerous. Obviously, falling off the train, seriously injured or killed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pasquarella fears there will be copycats after footage went viral. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s not clear what day the incident happened, but Andrew Busch, a SEPTA spokesperson, said no injuries were reported.<\/p>\n

Investigators are working to identify the man in the clip. <\/p>\n

Authorities have warned that subway surfing can result in serious injury or death.<\/p>\n

In July, a 16-year-old girl struck a beam and survived<\/a> during a dangerous subway surfing stunt in Queens.<\/p>\n

The teen was riding on top of the southbound A train pulling into the Broad Channel station when she suddenly rammed into a beam overhead during the afternoon stunt, law enforcement sources told the Post at the time.<\/p>\n

Two months earlier, a 14-year-old boy died<\/a> while riding on top of a subway on the Williamsburg Bridge.<\/p>\n

There is also a risk of electrocution as some train tracks are electrified.<\/p>\n
