Lola Tung<\/a> (The Summer I Turned Pretty,\u00a0Hadestown<\/a>)\u00a0will return to the stage for a one-night-only reading of\u00a0Sanctuary City\u00a0benefiting\u00a0RAICES, a non-profit organization for migrant justice. The reading will be held at New York\u00a0Theatre Workshop October 9.<\/p>\n

Tung will star opposite Daniel Bravo Hern\u00e1ndez<\/a> (Romeo and Juliet<\/a>).\u00a0Caitlin Sullivan will direct the special performance of Pulitzer Prize winner Martyna Majok<\/a>\u2019s acclaimed play.\u00a0Sanctuary City\u00a0takes place in a post-9\/11 Newark, New Jersey, following two teenagers who were brought to the United States as children. When G becomes naturalized, she and B hatch a plan to marry so that he may legally remain in the country. But as time hurtles on and complications mount, the young friends find that this act challenges and fractures the closest relationship either has ever had.<\/p>\n
